The NBA World Has Never Seen Anything Like Anthony Davis

With each game, the excitement around 21-year-old Anthony Davis continues to grow.
Davis has been the best player in the NBA over the first 12 games of the season.

He has posted a remarkable stat line: 26.3 points (2nd in the NBA), 57% shooting, 11.4 rebounds (5th), 2.2 steals (3rd), and 3.5 blocks per game (1st).

He's also ranked No. 1 with a player efficiency rating (PER) of 35.6. To put that into perspective, LeBron James had with a 29.3 PER last year.

this nikka acting like he never heard of Shaquille O'Neal

It's a month into the season and you're comparing PER rankings?

I'm just copying what he saying in his esp. column i don't have a dog in the fight I'm a bulls fan :takedat:

Simmons is acting like KD doesn't exist. :comeon:
IF that were true KD would be the best in the L by default. LeBron is in his prime just at the end of it.
Fair to say Colangelo was right. We are only a month into the season, but already, Davis has established himself as an All-Star shoo-in — and, though it is obviously early in the year, it is not too early to consider Davis the easy front-runner in the NBA’s MVP race.

I agree lebron is declining disagree that Davis is the best. Can't call a guy that has been assisted on 70% of his baskets the best.

simmons said lebron put 60 k mins on his legs and its catching up for him he said in about 2 years he should retire he will be wade garnett role player status lol
So saying something early enough while repeating it knowing Father Time is undefeated makes Bill Simmons right?? :ohhh:

Let me put my bid in now that Anthony Davis is on the decline. I'll be right in a few years...... :mjpls:

fair enough im not aware of his comments on Kobe, but based on his book and articles I think hes been a fairly strong Lebron supporter, and has called him the best player of the past 20 years (making the assertion he was better than comeback version jordan, duncan etc.) so I dont think its agenda driven.

Also my point is by saying that Cousins or Curry could be called the best player in the game next week is kinda undervaluing what AD is doing... he's firmly seperated himself from that second tier at this point and should be compared to KD and Lebron in my oppinion... but like I said it has been a small sample size so far this year.
He shyt on Kobe for the better part of the last decade, even when the Lakers were winning titles. Saying LeBron is the best player of the past 20 years is disrespectful to MJ, Kobe, Shaq and Duncan.

Anthony Davis has never made the playoffs but all of a sudden he's the best player in the league? Way too early to crown him like that. Even if he was better than LeBron (which he isn't, yet), he's still not better than Durant. It's a ridiculous argument.
