That list seems suspect to be honest ...the 2nd biggest rap song of the past 25 yrs is fukkin tootsy roll?

Do people even still do the Tootsie Roll? Last time I heard or saw anybody doing the Tootsie Roll I was in 7th grade at a school dance.

Also, I was wearing Jnco Jeans ad Boss shirts.

If you read you'll see the criteria pretty clearly "The 25th Anniversary Hot Rap Songs ranking is based on actual performance on the weekly Hot Rap Songs chart, since the chart’s inception in the March 11, 1989, issue. Rankings are based on an inverse point system, with weeks at No. 1 having the greatest value and weeks at lower positions proportionately less. Due to various changes in chart rules, chart length and methodology throughout the years, songs had varying reigns at No. 1 and on the chart. To ensure equitable representation of the biggest hits from all 25 years, certain time frames were weighted to account for the difference in turnover rates from those periods"

List seems kind of fukked up, surprised no Dre on there, but if it's all objective and based on actual metrics there's no point getting up in arms about it and claiming whitewashing. These are Rap Chart stats, not Rock, Pop or Hot 100, there's a reason Eminem isn't featured on here....

People in the culture look at that list and laugh (as they should), but the list is based on objective performance on a specific chart and the people who influence that chart aren't of the culture. That's what happens when the ignorant majority has say on the historical narrative of an artform/culture that aren't theirs.:snoop:

It's the Biggest Songs i.e. most popular. Not the most critically acclaimed or most influential. There really is only one way to measure this and that's using sales, chart performance and air play. People should be surprised, not mad at this, especially on a forum where people brag about not listening to radio or purchasing music :yeshrug:
