Okay what I learned.
Bush did for this O what I thought. We looked like 2011 just moving down the field. I also learned the refs didnt want to give Reggie or Calvin TD which cost me my fantasy game I had 3 TD taken away
. Bell is just a damn good player but please stop your super man goaline drives.
Bently looked great in the slot. I watched him closely and he blanketed his guy.
Houston/Slay played okay game. Slay looks like he will be a good one once the game slows down and Mathis looks to be a steal for us he played great when he came in the 3rd quarter.
My goodness how nice was it seeing to good safeties on the field. Love, Love Quin. Delmas shut your mouth love your passion but don’t let that passion cost us.
Levy’s best game as a Lion if he plays like this for a season we got a steal in resigning him. He was all over and made IMPACT plays that changed the game. Tulloch always solid. Palmer did okay as well.
Oline Reiff will be a good LT. He has now started in two games. Watts and Allen is a good trial by fire and love what I have seen. Warford opened Giant Giant holes. I hope Waddle works out because Fox made it about 7 minutes before going to the bench with an injury. Also why did Rai wait a decade to put on extra weight? He got a nice push especially on the Qb sneak.
Pettigrew I have defended him for too long. He is a good player but it doesn’t matter how good you our when you make bone headed penalties and can’t hold on to the ball. Fauria his hands appear to be the anti Pettigrew he catches everything but needs to work on his celebration.
WR- Burelson I ragged on you during preseason and thought you where done and you played your heart out today calm down and watch out for the holding penalties thou. Edwards boy is his speed deceiving like that he turned short passes into 10 yard gains. Calvin did his job opening it up for other players. Broyles get well soon.
Dline – Suh and Fairley our elite but make some of the dumbest bone headed things I have ever seen (I did like Suh and the Dline gathering around after a series and see Suh seemed to be the leader). Willie Young Mr.August way to actually play when it counts. Ansah going to be really good especially when he learns this game. He beat a probowl LT one on one a few times and had a huge played called back by his penalty that I think he makes with some seasoning. You take away AD first run of the game away and you can clearly see this Run D is way better with the big DE instead of Avril and KVB. I was wrong about what Avril meant to this team.
Stafford – This guy is tough. Amazing he still tossed the ball 43 times when we ran the ball 30 times. If we can maintain 55% passing 45% running I think it will make a huge differnce for Matt. Won’t have to listen to TheDane troll this week.
Coaching – Jimmy, needs to get control of his team. I dunno what he has to do but we should have beat the Vikings by 30. I am happy that whatever he said at halftime seemed to work which is different from last season where it seemed the other team always out gameplanned us after halftime. It was nice to see the Vikings shoot them self in the foot with the Roughing the passer and the PI in the fourth.
Special Teams. I have nothing to say about the botched snap on FG blah. I was wrong about Sam Martin that pin on the one yard line was an Anti Lions play. How many times have we seen 5 minutes left in the game and we punt and its a bad punt and we let them start with great field position for an easy come back? Also him doing kickoffs is wonderful. Can’t get good field position if on kick offs your kicking it out the endzone or almost out the endzone. He might equal 1 or 2 wins for us.
Linehan – Called a great game. Loved that we put points on the board I believe 4 drives in a row.
Gunther – D looks loads better but get control of the troops.
Refs – Mid Season form. I’ve never seen as many TD get over turned. I’m also surprised they called the roughing the passer and PI in the forth quarter.

A terrible overall game from the offense. 17 carries for 15 yards after AD's first run is really frustrating. The Lions gave the Vikings all the chances in the world to blow the game open in the first half. Simpson made some really nice catches today to help Ponder's numbers but he made some really bad throws on short passes which is inexcusable. Cost the team the game. Stafford wasn't really touched or rushed in the second half which really was the problem. The Vikes D-Line did a great job in the first half getting pressure and knocking down passes. Without that, our LB's got exposed. Next week will be tough. fukk Ponder and Cassel
