Pay attention to how many times he pauses whilst telling the story.

People do this when they're trying to present a reprehensible action in favorable light.

People should also learn to get confrontational. It always starts with some bullshyt like "we're just here to review". If they start undermining what you're doing, don't be afraid to tell them why they're wrong and to point out that when you've done as they're suggesting it is has resulted in problems.

Why I'm not in the corporate game anymore. They tried this at an old job. Flew in some execs to can my department short notice after witholding work from us and claiming we were not performing.

I pulled receipts out in the meeting and went to bat with the top brass while my department sat there mute. Saved our jobs. Not one person thanked me. They were about to all get put on performance reviews under contract pending termination. I'm confrontational by nature. I learned that I didn't belong in that environment.

I was more interested in the part where he said he found a company with some good numbers, but the stock was at $30.
Took over the company, pumped 300-400M in the stock.
Probably pumped that stock price to the moon, and walked away with a billie.

I'm just going based off that video clip, I never heard of this guy but a few of the youtube comments are telling.
These 80s stock guys were all the same, majority made their bread off the market using pump and dump techniques and then putting their money through companies and non profits to avoid short term capital gains taxes.

He said he still owns the company within the first 10 seconds of the video.

And I don't even think it's a publicly traded company anymore :manny:

The money/profit was in the tax incentives.
