If society collapses all of their stockpiles will just make them a plate. Either their private security will take their shyt and turn it into a military command center or the hordes will rush and loot it. Or they will be abandoned and isolated and end up dying from something simple they don't have expertise to treat.

Nobody is putting on a loyalty collar, and if they are, best believe they'll have the code ready to deactivate that shyt once it's time to launch that coup.
