Brandon Beane won the power struggle over McDermott. They had been taking passive aggressive pot shots at each other. McDermott felt roster wasn’t good enough (which I agree with) and Beane thought McDermott needed to make better decision in-game and that roster was good enough. Clear Pegula thought Beane was right. But he messes this coaching hire

Owners are probably thinking if McDermott had this team focused all year, they don't lose to Atlanta and Miami, are the #2 seed and would have hosted a game this weekend.

I disagree they was up 27-23 5 mins left he went with soft 4-3 zones to end the game. small dts and small lbs yearly for his scheme getting killed with the rjn shoulda been fired years ago. McDermott is the one who established the culture for Allen to feel comfortable enough to continue to play recklessly.

I think McDermott did good overall because he made playoffs every year and won at least a game each year with the exception of the Houston Texans game when Texans had Watson (that was Josh first playoff game I believe).

The problem is McDermott and Allen just fell short so many times in the playoffs.

I really thought this year would be the Bill's year and was predicting them to win a close game in New England just like they did their second meeting in New England this season.

McDermott went one and done twice, 2017 and 2019. I don't think he should have been fired, though.

I agree about the GM and it's criminal how the Bills never drafted a receiver in 1st round to compliment Josh.

They didn't but they did trade a 1st and a 4th to get Diggs in 2020. So to me that's the equivalent of getting a 1st round guy.

I think we need to take a second and really look at this. Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Buffalo are three of the top run organizations in football. And they all have job openings! That's just crazy to me. If i'm a head coaching candidate, i'm doing cartwheels. Because the groundwork and culture has already been set. All you gotta do is fix the holes. If i'm interviewing, i'm coming in staff already set who I wanna hire. Understanding situational football and the details. You don't need a coach coming in with this my way or the highway attitude

Let me say this nikkaz know I've been on the fire Mcdermott train for a long time. I'm thankful for what Sean did for this franchise 17 years of absolutely nothing made us into contenders again. Actually, proud to be a Bills a fan again because we were miserable for a long time a joke. It was time we needed a change but let's be clear Brandon fukking Beane deserved to be fired way before Sean did. His arrogance roster construction is beyond laughable. We have quite possibly the best player in the damn NFL with a WR room comparable to the fukking Raiders who are picking 1st btw unacceptable. Fire Beane thank you Coach MCD for all your contributions to getting us out of the abyss. It was time he'll be successful elsewhere because he can coach
