so do you think beane decided fo being these guys in without mcdermott blessing? :dead: mcdermott aas hired before beane and had power behind the scenes. Mcdermott was in charge of his own scheme and coordinators he ran how the team looked which beane fit. shyt mcdermott hired beane im the first place

Thats what mcdermott wanted :dead: he wanted the bills to go from passing down the field to focusing on the run. Its why he ran daboll out of buffalo, dorsey Leslie Frazier etc. Yall drafted keon and Kincaid because yall wanted to focus on short passing quick decisions. He was apart of every draft and free agency signings. Thats every coach
I'm not disagreeing but some of really good player MCD had a hand in to pre Beane Dion Tre Milano (pre injuries). I'm in the camp get rid of one both had to go :beli:. I think firing MCD keeping Beane is stupid

Buffalo gotta be the most attractive job on the market by far now. Outside of WR, what else does that team even need?

Draft a WR in the first around. Infact I’d trade up to get Tate, Tyson or Lemon. Then sign a stable vet, but it doesn’t even have to be anybody splashy. It could be a Jauan Jennings.
Alot

New dt scheme and players
New lb scheme and players
New scheme for wideouts.
A starting safety

Roster construction was all on mcdermott, yall went defense every draft because its what mcdermott wanted and the players usually fail due to his scheme limitations. Y'all sign undersized lbs dts because mcdermott deems the scheme difficult and sticks to his guys. Mcdermott has thrown 3-4 ocs/dcs under bus and never takes accountability. Yall signed then traded diggs which is a significant cap hit because mcdermott didnt want him in buffalo, signed von Miller because mcdermott wanted him. Beane was only in charge of signing players and getting what mcdermott wanted. The blame he does get is probably never quitting which led to paying guys like Bernard Knox etc who mcdermott loves and cherish as culture guys.
Beane is the one who didn’t go out and get receivers and actually cursed people out who said that’s what the team needed.

He’s an ownership kiss ass who failed upwards

Bills Main Priority is defense

The cap space is fukked up right now

But that defense need a overhaul

U can draft a couple of receivers because u have a RB and TEs already

Every wide receiver who has came to buffalo since hiring joe Brady ( mcdermotts guy) has gotten worse. What would getting another wide receiver do for a system that doesn't value fown the field passing ? Even diggs struggled his last year under the system, another wr would have just be running glorified gadgets which is what McDermott wanted. Beane was covering for his own ass cause its what his coach wanted.

That stat doesnt really say the full story though. In defense of Beane keeping his job, I saw someone say post this:
You can't really impeach him for his drafting job. Bills still have several starters from 2019 and 2020 on the roster, as well as several depth guys, and 70 percent of his picks are still in the league.

He doesn't have a lot of top end talent success, but the Bills have drafted in the high 20s since 2020.

You can't let Stefon Diggs go and not replace him

You can't do that

Then you tried to replace him with a kid who is a knucklehead and who was a healthy scratch in games

I think we need to take a second and really look at this. Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Buffalo are three of the top run organizations in football. And they all have job openings! That's just crazy to me. If i'm a head coaching candidate, i'm doing cartwheels. Because the groundwork and culture has already been set. All you gotta do is fix the holes. If i'm interviewing, i'm coming in staff already set who I wanna hire. Understanding situational football and the details. You don't need a coach coming in with this my way or the highway attitude
If Belichick hadn't gone mental with his young ho, he'd be a great candidate

They were the No.1 O the year after he left. The Bills biggest problem isn't WR. They can score a lot and generally do score a lot in their playoff losses
