Double Dragon was my shyt back then, so was Narc. As for which version was better?
DD1 arcade was better than NES as was most arcade games
DD2 tho was better than the arcade version because it was different, didn't cost you quarters, and had replay value
They also added a versus mode which was new territory back in those games.. Karate Champ was about all there was

When Street Fighter 1 dropped, it wasn't really popular. I don't think people even realize there was a streetfighter 1 but now I'm ranting

People were fukking their wrists up playing, that's why it didn't gain as much traction until the goat SF2...
Always loved DD just never beat them..

They had Chase HQ at my local pizza shop. I loved those little cut scenes after each mission when you were arresting the perp like
OG Street Fighter was horrendous. One of the most unresponsive games ever. Ryu might throw one hadouken for every fifty inputs.
But Bad Dudes vs. DragonNinja was that shyt. That charge punch
Saving the prez and then going out for burgers
The follow up Two Crude Dudes though
They had some crazy looking bosses in that game. Like giant mutants/aliens. Also, you could gorilla press any enemy and throw them straight to the bushes

It's a DD III joke. They misspelled Billy's name in the NES version. They even made a joke about it in DD Neon where you fight mutant clones of Billy and Jimmy called Bimmy and Jammy

That damn price was extortion man $650 in the US while here in England the value was £526.34 to add insult to injury the AES cartridges could cost 100's. What in the world was SNK thinking I'm guessing their target market was middle to upper class. You was better off getting the Neo Geo Cd as it was cheaper comparing to the AES however the downside of the console was the loading times
