Yes definitely shouldn't be outraged about elected representatives wasting time on this bullshyt when the United States is in the middle of the worst unemployment crisis since the Great Depression and 400,000 people will be dead by January. There's definitely nothing more constructive they could be doing with their time.

:troll:
They've already passed a bill in the house. Then wrote another 1k+ page bill again in an attempt to make sure the legislation goes through.

At least have the fukking common decency to pass the anti-lynching bill before this bullshyt. By pass, I mean make it an actual law.

Neither will the bill they proposed on Friday to require the government to forgive 25k in federal debt.

I'd respect this post more if you even took the time to look at the bills being proposed daily that address your complaints.

I am aware of these bills but like I just saidthey have no chance of passing, because Pelosi and house Dems continuously give away any leverage they might have to get a deal done. That combined with ridiculous things like this that individual members of the caucus attempt to pass , is proof positive that they are either imbeciles or cynical political actors. :yeshrug:

Weapons contracts work by making it a law that you have to get permission from another country to do them? I learn something new everyday. :troll:

All you're saying is you have no idea about politics, policies, or whats going on in the world. One of the conditions for the first Arab peace plan was basically Israeli veto power over arms sales to their newly found Arab allies. Thats the prerequisite. I really shouldn't have to explain it further but feel free to tag me if you still don't understand common sense.

Let's just get this aside out of the way the United States should not be selling arms to these people. Unfortunately they are, now can you explain to me how it makes sense for a foreign country that we know for a fact has been actively interfering in U.S. elections to have veto power over anything to do with foreign policy? Oh well guess its just democracy in action huh dumbass. :mjlol: :camby:

Because America is the facilitator for the peace deal. If you just want a thread to bytch about Joos and Israel, I'll see my way out of here but if you actually want to understand then its really not that hard to understand. US is the mediator. US is also the largest arms seller in the world who supplies those new Arab allies. Therefore, Israel being America's best ally in the region, is going to have final say on wether their previously hostile neighbors get bigger guns than they can get. Its a really simple concept. America and Israel are partners in this endeavor. The big issue here is creating peace between Israel and the Arabs, mostly the Gulf right now. In order to create that peace, all of the nations involved agreed to these terms. Not sure why you're bent out of shape about countries creating peace through strategic policies.

In no place in this thread did I mention some grand Jewish conspiracy. Anti-Semitism is wrong and stupid and because I live in New York City and pay attention to organizations that protest for peace I know off numerous Jewish people that want nothing to do with the apartheid state of Israel. The guy whose tweet was in my previous post is Jewish, nice straw man though. :yeshrug:

Also have to laugh at the idea of the United States giving a shyt about peace while they're currently aiding a genocide in Yemen and imposing crippling sanctions preventing medical equipment reaching certain countries during a worldwide pandemic. :dead:

Fair enough on the 1st point. As for the quoted, we can do both at the same time. The world is complex and while I understand your argument on our hypocrisy, theres still levels to this shyt and this arms veto power is just one part of the overall plan for peace in that region. Without it, the peace deal probably would have been a non-starter.

I think we have a disagreement about the hypocrisy and what it's the result of, but fair enough. Also I think there's a lot of evidence that the publicity of the deal is nothing more than a political ploy to make Trump and Nethanyahu look good to their respective bases.
