Why are they called blacks though? Why not a different term, while still calling them Africans? Blacks are the only race who are so different, yet still try to fit everyone under the same umbrella.

You can be a dark Caucasian. Being Caucasian, technically, has little to do with skin color and more to do with skull and bone features. Only in America has Caucasian exclusively meant white skin.
