This is why I've always low-key felt sorry for "hood" dudes.......they can't really let their guards down and be a full human.
They can't express the full range of human emotions without being called "soft" or losing "street cred". They can't be silly, goofy & playful. Hell, in a lot of cases they can't even reveal that their smart & intelligent
It actually DEHUMANIZES you a bit to have to act hard and tough 24/7.
Alot of young black males have been tricked into wanting to be "hood" and "gangsta", but it's never appealed to me.
I love having the FREEDOM to act as kind , gentle, nerdy , intelligent and goofy as I wanna be without the fear of losing my "real n1gga" card.
Bein “hard” 24/7 is corny and exhausting.
