Let's be real


Most single fathers are single fathers for completely different reasons women become single mothers

I'm not saying all but the majority of single mothers I know chose bad men to procreate with or didn't use protection. I'm not absolving the men of their responsibilities but it is what it is

They're out there and one of my childhood friends mom had died while giving birth to his sister, so his dad had to raise all 4 kids by himself. I just hate when people try to steal credit on a day that's designated for someone else. A man can't be a mother and a woman can't be a father.

He wasn't abandoned, his partner died.

Many of these single mothers are bitter because the fathers of their children are very much alive yet skipping out on raising the children they created. Many of these mothers will see their children's fathers receiving "happy Father's day" Facebook wall posts knowing damn well he's only a father in the sense that he helped create a child and nothing more.

this brings up an interesting question:

how many fathers are single fathers because the child's mother abandoned them versus the number of mothers who are single mothers due to the father abandoning them.

Ofcourse there's more single mothers for a whole gang of reasons.
There is definitely an uptick in single dad's now though.
I've mentioned my cousin who gave both of her kids to their dads. The kids are truly better off in that situation.

There needs to be an entire thread dedicated to what exactly an "ain't shyt nikka" is. @gogogubari shared a story of how her child's father turned out to be a bad guy after she thoughrouhly vetted him. How could she have known when he didn't show any sign of being the guy he eventually turned out to be?

You'd be surprised. I've been seeing this a LOT within the past decade or so. Either they relinquished custody to the father, or they're so unfit the fathers were awarded custody.
