I assume gays don't give a fukk what you think.
They want to be able to put their partners on their insurance. They want their partners to be allowed to go to hospital visiting hours.
They want their partners to be their next of kin without having to go through a bunch of shyt in the courts (my wife/kids get everything if I die without my having to do shyt ... why should they have to fight in courts for this right?).
The point is -- what religious people think doesn't matter, and I bet 99% of gays don't fukking care what they think.
They want equal protection under the law. And the Supreme Court determined that "separate but equal" does not constitute equal protection. So, the only way gays can have the benefits that married straight people get is to be legally allowed to marry.
That's going to happen. You and yours can continue to disagree ... but no one will care.
The only reason your caring is at all an issue now has very little to do with your opinion -- it's the fact that you and yours are standing in the way of the equal protected guaranteed by the constitution.

What you don't understand is that homosexuals aren't looking for recruits, they are looking for acceptance and a safe mental and emotional space so that they don't have to...*gasp* be on the "low" about who and what they identify as.
The promotion of acceptance does not = Gay's implementing a draft.
LBGT acceptance actually works toward the goal of avoiding some of the "huge problems" that people say that homosexuality is at the root of...problem is you can't ask people to "be out in the open" about their sexuality to ease your paranoia and then tell them to "stop promoting" it. Then again idiots often find themselves painted in a corner.
