Camron, Ja Rule and 50 all recently turned 40. What does that tell us?

It tell us young rappers won't stay young forever. But it's the lasting impact of the music that matters more in the end.

The majority of today's most popular artists are all in their 30s or bordering it.(Future, Kendrick, Drake, Cole, Wayne, Meek, Wiz)

its like when you tell people Rakim and Jay-Z are the same age...People expect Rakim to be like pushing 60 because he dropped in '86...he just got on early....and it took Jay until '96 to really get on.

people always thought Em was younger too but he blew up when he was like 28.

Or like DMX ('70) and Tupac ('71'). DMX came out almost 7 years later yet he's older than Pac.

50 Cent came out 10 years after Nas but, he's only 2 years younger than him

Fabolous and Mase are the same age

or Camron and Rick Ross, both the same age and yet released their debuts almost 10 years apart.

Or Wayne and Lupe, the former rapping since the 90s and the latter only coming out in 2006.
