Just recently got into her music, shyt is awesome :wow:

I started listening last year with her newest album Biophilia, but just recently went back to her old stuff. Post and Homogenic are amazing. I just randomly saw this documentary on her and it made me like her music a lot more, understanding the thought the goes behind it.

Ehh Kate Bush did it 1st 30 years ago.

Naw but Bjork is a very unique act and is underrated.

personally I think bjork at her best>>>kate bush

even tho I really fukk with a lot of bush's work. I like the people she inspired more like bat for lashes, emilie simon, etc.

The movie "Dance in the Dark" :to: :to: :to: :wow:
Haven't seen dancer in the dark yet, I heard its depressing as fukk though :sadbron: i haven't read that many lyrics to the album (vespertine) but they've been awesome on the ones ive read

its crazy how she was putting out this amazing music and being nominated for best actress at the same time also

Dance in the Dark is great, but very depressing. It'll make you cry :to:. Well worth watching though

Weird, I've just decided to revisit her stuff. Joga is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard.

Kate Bush comparisons are lazy. Only similarities they have are they are both subversive female artists. I mean compare their latests projects and you know straight away. I preferred 50 words for snow btw, my official winter album.

Have you guys ever checked for Soap&Skin? She has that bjork aesthetic about her.

Bumping this thread.
Discovered Bjork last fall (perfect time for discovering this kind of music). I like her first album Debut a lot even though her second and third one (Post and Homogenic) are true masterpieces and feel more "complete". There's something melancholic about many of her songs. A lot of natural percussion on her Debut, many different styles of music combined.

Some favourites of mine from her first 3 albums (haven't got too deep into her later albums yet):

Venus As A Boy
Crying
Come To Me
The Anchor Song
Play Dead
-

Hyper-ballad
The Modern Things
Isobel
I Miss You

-

Joga
Unravel
All Neon Like
All Is Full Of Love
