"bu-bu-bu-but why did memphis let him go?"

Billy King is an idiot and I'm sure he doesn't know what he wants in return. He's probably out here overvaluing what he has.
The only way to get salaries to work would be next summer with Haywood.
I can't believe they suckered him into taking Jarett Jack's contract.![]()
Eric Bledsoe, Marcus Morris, and a future 1st round pick for Brook Lopez

The salaries could work right now, it would just take more than he's worth and gut your squad. If he were healthy you could make that deal simply because dude used to be pretty good on offense with shytty rebounding but oddly enough solid interior defense.
King is gonna end up getting fleeced for Williams or Lopez, probably give up a 2021 pick in the process.

.I can't believe ATL Hawks gave Johnson a SIX YEAR contract in 2010.

Lakers probably gonna look to make a move....Lin is a $15M expiring and Nash is a $9M expiring... They might look at D-Will...
Might even go all in and trade Nash, Lin, and Jordan Hill.. for Williams, and Lopez..with filler
I didn't know that about Lin's cap hit. Props.Lin's cap hit and trade value in dollars is only $8.3 million. Nash is $9.7.
Williams and Lopez are a combined $35 million.
The Lakers minus Kobe would damn near have to trade their whole roster to make it work.
See the thing is they won't gut the team to trade for Lopez.
Tristan and Andy are pretty much untouchable because of the obvious. Waiters is still a favorite of ownership and they aren't just going to give him away in a panic.
This won't be the only fire sale before the deadline. They seem to be figuring it out as is anyway. If they're smart, they should be patient this market will open itself up.
But my Raps could use him![]()
