That just proves their point. The media and other news providers (blogs and internet) are quick to report the terrorist attack in France but we arent provided one news story about a terrorist attack in Kenya.

No it doesn't. Most of those posting about Garissa didn't even know anything happened, but they are supposedly "Africans down for the cause" or "open" about stuff happening in the world. How the fukk do you not know such an event happened? It was in Le Monde, Le Soir, De Standaard (Belgian newspapers), CNN, TV5 Monde, RFI, BBC, Jeune Afrique, etc.

Too easy to blame the "mainstream media" (whatever that is) in the Internet age. I'm interested in Africa, so I got other media sources that informed me about Kenya. If they didn't know, it's on them.

I hear a similar argument from a dude who claimed Muslims aren't denouncing the attacks. His argument literally whittled down to "CNN doesnt report it so it must not be happening". Then when I said what you said- there are plenty of news sources reporting this and it is your responsibility to look beyond cable news trash, he switched to "CNN should be reporting this" We have now come to a point where people aren't responsible for their own ignorance.
