How’s the food?

Do you get stares everywhere you go?

how much you paying a month for rent?
I get stares sometimes but not as bad as china. theres a lot of foreigners here they are used to our presence.

I pay about $460 dollars for a luxury fully furnished studio condo on the 41st floor, smack in the middle of the capital. Yesterday I was viewing a one bedroom for the same price (prices are falling due to rona), with 180 view windows but I didnt like the agent ...so I declined.

Always good following your threads. I believe there are many that would love to do what you are doing and just get up and leave America but are just lacking the courage . What was the breaking point for you to just do it and have you ever considered living in Japan? How is the food in the Philippines? Most Filipinos I've met in my life have been salt of the Earth people.
Tokyo is my favorite city in asia ...however its too expensive for such small tiny shoeboxes to live in. Economically it makes no sense.

Can you speak Tagalog?
nah. I do have rosetta stone and Ive tried, its actually harder than I thought. Chinese is actually easier....which surprised me.

He's insane. Basically an asian Trump.

You can't buy land without a filipino spouse or business partner (dangerous cause they can rip you off). I would recommend a bungalow that's what I want to buy. Those go for about 1.5 million pesos in a place like Angeles City or Subic where theres a lot of foreigners, and new homes. The prices arent the problem, its trusting someone to cosign, because they have to be a local. The chinese have figured out a way around this, but that would be a long post in itself.

pretty good. just at some nuggets from Wendys. Random fact............outside of north america... the philippines has the highest population of americans. bet yall didnt know that.
What originally brought you to Asia in the first place?

I came here in 2006 for work then came to to visit a friend in china in 2009 and just thought it was pretty damn cool.

Actually my goal since I was in my early 20s was to move to Brazil or Colombia some where in south america but then I visited him on some ol random shyt and was blown away. Paagin then ensued
