classification.

Now before the boo birds come out, this is in correlation with the troll thread

http://www.the-coli.com/locker-room...i-sipped-lemonade-wit-massa.html#.UHHEEU3A8ug

Now I tried to come from a legit angle in this one and that's black Americans with two black parents benefit from Mixed Raced people especially those with one black and one white parent being classified as "black": Even though they are bi-racial.

Let's take a look through history.

Frederick Douglass

Tiger Woods(:pachaha:) Black ppl were so mad with this one and it goes to show you how black people(with two black parents) understand the importance from this classification.

Hallie Berry - This is where women specifically benefit. I was on a website where an article was posted about the most beautiful women in the world. No "black countries or cities" were listed but the women got upset not because Detroit or Washington weren't listed.

They couldn't understand why Brazil wasn't listed. This is a predominantly black American board :mindblown:

W.E.B. Dubois

Barrack Obama - Enough said.

Bob Marley

Blake Griffin

Drake

J-Cole

Mariah Carey

Paula Patton

Rashida Jones

Stacey Dash - Mexican Mother

Pilar Sanders - White Mom

Lenny Kravitz

and countless others.

Now we aren't talking about someones third cousins, great grandmother who happens to be white, chinese or black Americans go to "Cherokee". No need to come in here with the low esteem rallying cry "We are all mixed race". I know you guys are wishing someday that'll be the case, which reinforces my point.

These are bi-racial people with A DIFFERENT RACE PARENT WHO GET CLASSIFIED AS BLACK.

White america is more excepting to the lighter skinned blacks(viewed as non-threatening)... as oppossed to the dark skinned blacks unless dark skinned blacks c00ning, feminine or on some :mjpls:.

Nearly everyone you listed has been viewed has black, experienced and grew up in "black" culture, has a black parent.... black family members... it's up to them to say if they are black or not but don't try to make it a full vs mixed thing.

Black people are so inconsistent.
Mixed women are considered black when they are with white men because then black women feel like "black beauty is being valued in mainstream America and white men." Let a black guy date that same mixed girl and then black women call her "a lightskinned bytch and anyone who like dat bytch is self hating!!" Black men will call you a "c00n" even though those same black men listed her as black a week ago.

Tiger Woods is painted as black now so that black women can use him to shame other black men who date outside the race. "Dats what happens when you are a self hater."

And Obama wasn't "black enough" to most of America until they found out he had a dark skinned wife. Let Michelle Obama had looked like Beyonce and people would NOT like him.

I keep telling black people to pick one and keep it that way. Stop making people mixed to fit one day and then they become honorary black people in another context.

I think it comes down to African American trying to pull on legacies that they don't own... you know... like they do with Egypt. :pachaha:

I started this new thread not to :troll:. I really want legit discussion and what people think would happen if mixed raced "blacks" got there own category.

That Mixed Raced meaning someone who has a parent of another race. I truly believe it would be devastating for Black Americans because a lot of achievements would be lost. The funny thing is as much as people want to get upset about that point they directly endorse it when they say "We are all mixed".

So why not allow Obama, Tiger, Paula, Bob and others move into their own category? :smugfavre: If it's not that "big of a deal".

Boy please. Speak on behalf of your black make counterparts only, Rashida Jones and Stacey Dash? Viola Davis and Kerry Washington are the most successful black actresses in Hollywood as of now. Maybe your argument is true for Black American men but Black American women are :win:

i actually agree with this one.

I actually got into a real tough debate about my preference for mixed women with some old black lady at work. I hit her with the "nikkas is nikkas, but what i like is what i like"

My first crush in GRADE school was a mixed girl, first teacher i had a crush on was mixed. My mom gets mistaken for mixed alot so that might have something to do with it. but eff all that if you ascribe to the culture and you are half black....you a nikka...point blank period.
