What 1%ers. What proof do you have that black Americans are descendant from west Africa? How do know the people from west Africa didn't have descendants from other parts of Africa? What about west Africans mixing with other Africans once they got to America? What about the black people that came here before slavery? What about black people who are still mixing today? What percentage of my heritage needs to come from a certain place for me to identify with that culture? Shouldn't I embrace all my ancestors?

I don't know if it's true but even if it was why would people get mad at the OP? People act like the people who make observations of what is going on in the world are the ones responsible for what's going on in the world.
