It's just the way system was designed they find ways to tax us higher in our areas of the city but yet our taxes dont come back to our community. there's been books on this. like the suburbs get the most push with resources meanwhile we get the second hand shyt. i wouldn't be surprised that we pay the brunt of the energy bills . same way these cops are always in the black community driving revenue for the city with ridiculous amounts of tickets...

No good insulation, homes are 90,100 years old and many still have the same furnaces with no upgrades..

And you asking poor working individuals to pay $7,000 or more for upgrades and they can’t afford it…. And the landlords don’t give a shyt because they getting your rent because they know you desperately need a place to live

My shyt avg $450 a month. It was $6-800 then my furnace died and I had to replace it. New one is much more efficient dropped my bill down a lot.

Don't get me wrong there is def a 'black tax' but I have seen some wasteful energy use in some of my own families houses as well. Like running AC/Heaters all day. Not turning off lights or unplugging their unused items or using surge protectors.



I line in NJ it happens more then you think but the state has a fresh start program for homeowners if they qualify.

Bro my mom complains about monthly $350+ energy bills but has the air set to 65° and leaves that bytch on all day, even when no one’s home. Running the washer and dryer just to clean the clothes she wore to work or less than a proper load.

Like if u not in one room , turn the lights or tv off

If u leaving out for work for the day for 8 to 10 hours turn that thermostat down or off

However, i do understand leaving a few lights on if u going out of town for a week, especially in the hoods..

But still winter time come you need that home heated because of poor insulation because of the old home
