There have been multiple Black Supermen throughout DC's continuity though..I don't understand the complaints. The two most popular ones are Val-Zod and Superman from Earth-24 and he's the leader of the multiversal Justice League.

MBJ was allegedly going to play Val-Zod...not a race swapped Clark Kent. This information can easily be found on Google.

I’m saying there’s a difference between race swaps and mantles. Mantles = Miles Morales, John Stewart, Val-Zod, Wally West, etc. Race Swaps = The Little Mermaid 2023, MCU’s Valkyrie, and MBJ’s Human Torch.

She’s what they call a Gyaru or Gal (a Japan word for Thot)

She’s wearing they are characterized by being tan & wearing exaggerated makeup

She’s one of the more extreme types of these characters in other instances in the show she doesn’t wear the makeup like that
So what you’re saying is that having tan skin means being a thot to them????

It’s a cultural thing

Anything out the normal from the way they dress to how they act

Since Japanese people are usually reserved it how they describe girls who are seen as promiscuous or rebellious
So let’s boil this down to; they’re simply racist and think dark is bad. Don’t matter about what else they find bad as well, all that matters is being dark to them is a bad thing.

Their racism ain’t gonna be explained away as “culture”.

Yall only do this when it's a black person in the role

Spike spigel was played by an Asian man and nobody cared. But guess who got the flack. Oh, that's right, the black man :unimpressed:

ive said this before, but these cats will hyper focus on black people these roles and ignore everyone else. dave bautista half philipino played drax, a white man in a new body, absolute silence. oscar issac is a guatemalan man playing 4 different white characters, noone makes a peep. benecio del toro, a puerto rican plays the collector, crickets. and this isnt a dig at any of the actors, but the fans who pick and choose when its ok for raceswapping to happen. which really is only when its black actors.

Im talking about causals that have never heard of Val Zod or Icon Blue Marvel etc. I see more fanart of black Wonder Woman than fanart for Nubia.

Also IMO casual moviegoers would probably be more excited to see MBJ playing a black Clark Kent than to see him playing Val-Zod

Exactly. You seen some of them refer to characters as "nightskinned"? :mjpls:

shyt makes me mad cause I think about kids who have to see that. We all old enough to where it's not gonna harm us, but kids are innocent and more fazed by it :francis:

The kirk to the fields
I agree with them.

Only reason is because we have artists changing the race of characters instead of making our own shyt. I’m tired of seeing black Goku or whatever. Make your own damn characters. It also looks dumb when you accuse other races of culture appropriation but you make Japanese characters black. Makes your arguments null and void.

So you you agree with the anti-black racism being spewed in all of those tweets because some person made some fukking fan art?

The anime art style was cool and unique back in the 90s but all you see now is westerners drawing either in that style or the CalArts style. Rarely see that detailed western style anymore outside of superhero comics
