I went to auburn and I went for engineering. If you're a career focused individual, you could do a lot worse. HBCU's have plenty of issues at least here in Alabama, most importantly the administration. I don't regret my decision one bit because I was able to get a job in my field before I even graduated from college. That's why I chose to go there, because their placement program in my field is one of the best in the nation.
