Capitalism is not at all a bad thing.

It would be a perfectly fine system if African Americans received reparations and substantial holdings in major company portfolios like Apple, Sony, Netflix etc. + land right ownership in the U.S. South.

The problem with capitalism is that people of African descent were the collateral. In fact, this extremely well written, hard-to-swallow article from The New York Times tells you how slavery CREATED capitalism. When slave owners bought land, the slaves were the down payment. We were the currency.

Nonetheless, we live in an age where we can build incredible amounts of wealth in a short period of time. We are in the middle of changing from the Information Age to the Conceptual Age. Therefore, any black man or woman that decides to commit intense focus and dedication in the right field can completely transform their life, earn six figures and build a positive net worth.

Reparations don't have shyt to do with capitalism. Plenty of immigrants come here with pennies to their name and become capitalists. Its because other groups including AAs will do business with them.

The problem with capitalism is that its essentially a club. The wealthy decide mostly who gets to become wealthy and with that comes nepotism. With nepotism, your ceiling is only as high as the top capitalists you have in your group of people.

Becoming someone who makes six figures is a pipe dream for the vast majority of people. We as society should be more worried about making sure that we have as few people in poverty as possible rather than a select few people hoarding 6,7, and 8 figures and trying to run off.

Well yeah I didn't mean that its impossible for people to make six figures. That's still just upper middle class. I meant that the economy isn't built to allow alot of people with that amount of wealth. Capitalism requires a worker class, in America you might as well call it a slave class of people to "capitalize" on. The more wealth this bottom class has then the less there is to go around for the 1% This is why you see them throwing millions of dollars at politicians to block even raising the minimum wage $2. No way in the hell are they about to allow alot of people with 6 figure income/salaries.

This system where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer is by design. You may be able to work your whole lifetime to get out from under the system but for every one of you its 10 more people who look like you drowning.

No. The first step to unite people is to inform them. Places like this are the best places to have these types of conversations and people often come away smarter than they were before or at least knowledgeable about a different perspective. It aint arguing just to argue.
