Quality of the grits matters. If it's "gritty" (pun intended ) and lumpy, it'll taste shytty.

Smooth/creamy grits with hot sauce and a little cheese is where it's at.

Shrimp Creole with some grits is A+.

Their own british tendencies ruin this food them lowkey cause they don't season and flavoer their shyt either
Never see them put salt or pepper or anything on their beans and mash, beans come straight out the can too, they don't even cook them with ham hocks or anything

Grits aren't some amazing tasting thing. its just a cheap easy filling meal comfort food when fresh and hot. That was waffle house. shyt is probably a day old.. Its would be like traveling halfway across the world to try some porridge from a fastfood place

that's a fact. a container of grits cost like $2. the cost of the other ingredients is negligible.

the entire meal cost like 40 cents for a bowl honestly.
