How are they determining how businesses are owned? There's NO WAY privately owned white businesses are generating $13T in revenue. That's like 80% of the annual economy

A company like Apple or Google is not "white owned"; it's publicly owned and there's no way to break down the racial makeup of shareholders. Something seems way off about this study.

Truth be told, it's a white company. Best believe it.

shyt can be look at very simply. We are consumers to the extreme and spend our cash elsewhere without regard for where the $ goes when it leaves the community. Meanwhile, everyone else can set up shop in (and outside) of the community, have tons of contempt for black faces but still have zero problem raking in those black dollars. To make it simpler, when you have your own shyt, you can create shyt and lay down a platform for others to create. these other groups keep it in the family and go out of their way to cockblock others but are welcoming for any dollars you are willing to trade for goods

but lets look at it like this.

yall do know we did have black businesses right? during some of the worse times in american history for blacks we had probably the most businesses owned by blacks. so what happened to them?

some will say segregation. true


some will say they were taking away from us by means of white supremacy? True.

and some will say it was 100% our own fault? not true

People talk about where blacks spend their money AS IF their were enough black businesses in a 10 mile radius to by groceries, toiletries, toothpaste, etc. as well as occasionally eat out, black owned theaters, other black owned entertainment(clubs/bars, amusement parks, just places to hang out and chill and have a good time.)

black owned malls., or enough black owned stores selling clothing that we like to wear.


so here's the reality. before everyone says keep the money in the black areas. first we have to have enough businesses in the above categories to cover for the population of black people within a 3 to 5 mile radius(MAX). would pref it to be much closer.

to create these businesses we need a lot of capital. where does it come from?

do we have black people in the pipeline that would know how to run those types of above businesses?

Ain't no race building an economy for no one playing stocks. No one. John Roger's one of the best in the world and Blacks still broke. Look at Mr. ETF in New York, better than anyone of any race. Blacks collectively are still broke as shyt. Didn't y'all learn anything from @MikeyC thread on women. All it takes is a bunch of zeros to kill a rating regardless of how many tens you got.

We are in the economic situation as we were in the 1960s when we were segregation. In many instances, worse off and we don't look like we get it. We simply still want white acceptance. fukk white acceptance. It's not coming people!

Partial solutions are available, but it's the organization and mobilization that are lacking. As usual...

Nearly every state, if not all, has workforce development programs that will pay for folks to learn a trade and/or skill that can be turned into a entrepreneurial endeavor. Most community colleges have small business centers that will guide you through the entrepreneurial process free of charge.

the gap stems from the established, black business community that needs to mentor young aspiring entrepreneurs and/or put them on. And the community colleges and WD programs can do better with making that happen, but ultimately, black business owners and community non profit need to go to these institutions with a strategic partnership plan that will help funnel newly trained folks to business mentors in the community.

I'm working with someone right now to help address that gap.

And like I asked the other dude, if a black person owns Google stock, do they get a lower dividend payout than a white shareholder?

Obviously 230+ years of systematic inequities have set us back, so yes, white people have more wealth per capita than we do. But how does Google having white leadership or white shareholders make it harder for black people to use it to make money? I interviewed with Google and they had people of damn near every race interview me, so it's not like there aren't POC working there either.

Point blank you nikkas don't know what you're talking about, and are blaming the system for your own ignorance. If you have made your mind up that you can't use anything "white" to further yourself you're gonna have a tough time building wealth in America, which is the ONLY way we will have any kind of real power here
