I'm from Chicago but my mom and her mom were born in the City and her sister still lives in Fairfield, CA.
Her mom's parents moved out there in the 1930's from Tensas Parish Louisiana and they had 14 kids (5 of them eventually moved to Chicago) so we're an mini army out there. Spent a month every other summer in Vallejo and I lived in the Bay for 3 years for work. I definitely would be living there if housing was reasonable prices, smh.
