It was a joke!
The Parkers, it just seemed to be about two fat women harassing people

Girlfriends,

that show with Flex Washington

:francis: Jamie Foxx Show:

  • Tired of seeing Jamie and his tight ass muscle shirts
  • Tired of the whole "will Fancy fukk Jamie" episodic series
  • Tired of Braxton corny goofy ass
  • Mad that they bushed the gawd Garrett Morris in later seasons
  • The funniest episode was the pie episode and that's not saying much
  • The wedding finale was corny AF
Overrated ass show.
I only ever remember the wild west episode, it was on syndication

Say what you want about it, but I learned that up to 20-25% of cowboys back then were Black

Learned about Nat Love and Bass Reeves after doing my research, I can't clown a show for that

I used to shun most of em... they all seemed the same. Corny..

But I started getting my hair braided at this chick house.. In the chair bout 2 hours and she would put it on moesha, one on one and the parkers and shyt and just let em play.... some of them shows are actually good, well written. .. and low key funny :manny:

ATL, but rasied in DMV
Being a time when you couldn't get a classy girl if you liked rap music, it started with "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air". Then followed by "Family Matters"...couldn't get with going from Militant Midget Michael Evans, to nerdy Steve Urkel. I fell of from watching Black sitcoms altogether for awhile, after that.

Honestly, for me, it was My Wife And Kids.

I always felt that the show was a diet/watered down version of almost every Black family sitcom that came before it and I didn't find it that funny either.

I felt like the show was carried by Damon himself who was the funniest character and had the most charisma. Everyone else felt too one dimensional to me. The oldest daughter was a diet Hillary Banks. Junior was a diet Mo from Smart Guy whose dumbed down schtick got old fast. The youngest daughter had the cute factor but no distinctive qualities aside from that. Franklin was annoying af and was a diet TJ from Smart Guy(even down to the appearance). Pam(sorry I forgot the wife's name) had her moments but her nagging could be annoying. And the side characters weren't all that memorable.

I thought it was okay to watch when nothing else was on but Bernie Mac and Everybody Hates Chris alone were way more compelling for me, never mind the 90's classics.
