We need to be real about this. Most of the time it’s by the mother. No one wants to talk this but this is the key component to that.
From the moment a black child is birthed anywhere on this planet, the odds stack into place against them. By most measures, the highest risk group in the world are our black children. It's stomach churning reading the studies and stats about the outcome of the average black child whether that be here in the U.S. or in Ghana. It ain't looking good for us. We're failing our kids. The time for us as a whole to turn it around was yesterday. They deserved better -- just like we did.
