Did you grow up listening to Country music?

It's the one genre that I've tried to get in and I really can't.

I don't know if it's because I'm a Brooklyn kid. But, next to my Hip-Hop collection, you will find NIN, Garbage, Fiona Apple, Smashing Pumpkins, and other genre's other than country

If anything I do like alt-country (like the True Blood song), but I'm not familiar with who's singing what.

I love country music, especially the ballads. Country singers tell great stories.

My current fav artists are Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Lady Antenellum, The Band Perry, Blake Shelton, and Carrie Underwood.

Nah, I don't listen to it and I haven't met another black person in my town who does.

I don't dislike it, it just doesn't interest me. But every time I catch a ride with one of my white friends and they have country music playing, they automatically change it and be like "I know you don't wanna listen to that" even though I've never given them my opinion on any kind of music
