Man, over the past year I've really grown to like country music. There are a lot of nice songs out. Black people be sleepin' on the country joints. Plus, listening to country music when you are smoking is pretty dope too. Those guitars hit hard.

Same here OP. I've got a very eclectic music collection, from NWA to Alanis Morissette to Marc Anthony to Garbage.

Country is the one genre that literally grates on my nerves. I just can't listen to that shyt.

I didn't grow up listening to country music, but I do have a favorite country song. That Kenny Rogers "The Gambler" song. I like that, but I don't sit listening to country music to see if I like it or not. If I hear a song that I like, then that's cool. But I don't sit there listening to country music to see if I like a song or not.

Country music is very boring to me. I care about melodies, instrumentation, rhythm, voices etc before I'm even thinking about the lyrics. It doesn't matter how good the stories are because generally, imo, all those other elements are lacking in country msuic. To each his own though
