I am going to start this off with what I consider my competitors and my thoughts on them. Your competitors should be black or you not targeting right.

Comic/Manga Industry

My company is an indie publisher of comics, children's books, and more. We do not publish new works often but we hold all the sales records in the US right now with 20,000 copies sold in our first 18 months.

Noir Caesar competes on the content creation side with their ravenous consumption policy. They get the rights to a lot of people's work. The content varies on quality but their digital catalog is pretty legit.

Saturday AM is a pioneer in black manga creation. Their content is the least unapologetic of the black brands out there but they have a ton of content and give more opportunities to people just coming up.

A tightly held publisher who does amazing afrocentric content. Their collection is small and created exclusively by the CEO. This studio is one of the first ones I recognized as someone I must beat. I met the CEO the other day and the conversation blew me away.
