Standing up for the dignity of being treated like a human being is movement with a purpose. Being emotional is choosing to restrain your anger when your very humanity is being called into question by a white supremacist. Being emotional is looking in the face of a man or woman who views you as little more than a slave and doing nothing to defend yourself from racial battery because you're more concerned with your next paycheck. Something could have happened to that white guy if these brothers put their hands on them. They might have been fired, even arrested or worse, but something would have happened that left an instructive impression in that cac's mind of what might occur if he chooses to treat another black man like that.
