At least she prefaced the video by letting us know she didn't know what the fukk she was talking about.

ThisFirst off, the movie doesn't take place in your culture. If you are expecting them to all be wearing weave you will be disappointed
Secondly, Wakanda is a warrior nation. You can't really compare it to Atomic Blonde where she is a spy and using sexual subterfuge.
Now, your ideal movie for black women may be a black version of Atomic Blonde, and that's fine.
But there are some of us (men and women) who want to see black women portrayed as equally capable warriors with the men without having to resort to "Sexy Ex Machina" to get out of situations (which is what happens in Atomic Blonde)
What I gathered from the faux-feminist's viewpoint is that a "traditional" African look for women doesn't align with her definition of feminity. Shaved heads is commonplace in Africa (minus the westernised parts) and plenty of the women have lean athletic physiques like Michonne so I don't see what the issue is here. They don't look butch, brolic or ugly.
People just like to complain for the sake of complaining.

Idk what this means
Insecurity will do that to you unfortunatelyYou guys (both sides who are for and against this movie) are taking this movie way too seriously.
Eh I somewhat agree and I say that because no matter how you look at it this is apart of it and we are all on here. Don't think we can say that but be on here acting like we are soooo different. I get what you don't like though about it.Social media is such a stupid waste of time![]()
True. I hope the movie is a hit and doesn't really have some major problems that people who's against the movie would be looking for.Insecurity will do that to you unfortunately
Hold up!! Is the video in the OP from that YouTuber Chrissie chick that is obsessed with colorism?
This is true but off the net these cats don't get no traction most times kicking that stuff. Its always been like that and I think it will always be like that and that's why folks feel this is Internet stuff. If you saw this more often offline in convos and the like not as many people wouldn't say its Internet stuff IMO.Keep thinking these weirdos are just relegated to the internet. They do log off and take their ideology with them. These thoughts are becoming more and more mainstream. The Twitter rants are just the "pinnacle" of the movement. But less articulated thoughts are shared by your average black woman on Facebook everyday. There's no hope.
