I've had many discussions with my lady about this, most times I find I get bad service because they assume IM not gonna tip...in turn their tip gets thrown in the bushes (and in this case by bushes I mean back in my pocket)

I've been out with some friends and they insist on tipping even with bad service just to prove a point

I have no problem with tipping if the service was worth it...but u aint getting a tip just because u showed up to work

I fukking hate this topic. People make such a big deal over this shyt. Restaurant industry needs to start giving people pay-cheques that are solid enough for someone to live off of so the workers don't rely on tips. For now though if you're going to go out and spend your money on a meal, you might as well be prepared to tip.

The thing that gets me though is, the people who are most deserving of a tip are the Chefs, but they get paid better than the servers. If anyone should be getting tips, it should be the people who are cooking your food for you. Servers should not rely on tips.

i tip good. There was only one time I didn't tip but the service was horrible. Even tip 15-20% on a regular basis.

If you being stupid w/ the service, there's no tip. I don't care Tip is to be earned, not expected.

I don't ask for much either. Just bring the bill fast and hook it up w/ napkins.

Took wifey to see Kevin hart last night and ended up doing dinner on the beach with two other couples. Each couple was split on the issue of tipping. This is based on the individual foh.

When I was broke I tipped now that I'm doing a little better I still tip.

I once had a waitress giving bad service and she was clearly on that fie but I was still gone tip because shyt them ribs was good as fukk anyway so I said fukk it. Now when I give her my card I give her the card for the account I use for PayPal by mistake. Now this account is kept empty unless I'm buying something for obvious reasons so of course it declined. Now homegirl was so high she just bring the shyt back to the table not even realizing it. So when I go to sign and leave the tip on a check that was over $100 I realized my mistake. Now at the time I thought she was being slick and letting me know in the sly that the card was declined. But then I realized she so fukked up she didn't catch my fukk up. So the 40 in cash I had on me I put on the table and walked out that bytch.

Hell, waitresses don't even work as hard as other people in their own fukking restaurant. Dishwashers are back there working harder.

I have the same mindset of Bomani Jones, if the do a good job, I'll tip. If they don't, oh well. Not tipping just because.
