Nah. Not at all. nikkas like Nas, Saigon, Joe Budden, Jay-Z, Lupe, J.Cole, Wale, Rakim, etc are far from c00ns. Representing black culture does not make you a c00n.

Trinidad James is the physical manifestation of c00nery at maximum efficiency. Exaggerating negative stereotypes and presenting them as normal/the standard is c00ning. You can fill in whatever blanks you want as far as rappers go and how they apply to that definition.

I'd say words like "****" and "Uncle Tom" are interchangeable.

between constructive criticism of black people and straight up cooning? I personally think it has to do with your intent, and I can normally figure that out by the tone of the message.

if the critique of black people is coming from a place of genuine concern for the black community and their betterment, then I support it. I compare it to parents giving tough love to their children

but if its a situation where it's a black person simply trying to prop themselves up and brag about their own social standing with white people while shytting on black folks, I consider that cooning

As for the topic at hand a lot of it stems from certain black folks believing they're "better" than other black people.

You can usually tell when someone has genuine concern and care for "Black" people by how they word things.

When dudes start doing that extreme fake militant sh1t to the point where they sound like white supremacists with rampant use of "N*****","Uncle Tom","c00n" etc.
I can usually tell they aren't about sh1t.

When they speak in generalizations about the "Ghetto", "Thugs","Gangsters""Baby Mommas" etc. and/or use slang terms as means to demean blacks you can tell they're being either
1. A Racist *not black of course*
2. Or someone who obvious deals with a lot of self hatred.

You can tell that some people on here generally have some venom towards black people and isn't on some shyt, like they're obvious racists but a lot of people just laugh it off.
I even recall one of the so called "militants" on here being outed as a fake pretending to be a black man in his 30's, him and some other posters
definitely fit that bullsh1t "Tough love" bill.
With that said just watch how they relay their ideas, you can usually tell
