maybe where you live, but even in Cali, where I live, the "interracial capitol" of the country, all I see is black families. People like to exaggerate, like they see interracial couples more than intrarracial couples.

You want a specific example?

My white professors (read 90% of them) don't respect me and automatically think I'm going to flunk their class, they treat me with disdain. I can't work in their labs (they don't want a black guy in their labs) in undergrad to get research experience which is vital to graduate school. Unfortunately most HBC's have poor biology programs so they were never an option (along with the ridiculous tuition prices). The few labs that had black males in ther labs were run by people who weren't actual professors at my school, so I never had a chance to connect.

Poor biology programs but you'd probably have more access to the labs which is probably more essential than the actual program itself. If you're near an HBCU maybe you should try talking with the biology dean to see if you can set up some lab time in the summer or when school is out.
