Oh no, it's just not Black people. My aunt use to do census work and she use to talk about how some White folks were ready to fight when it came to filling out the census.

I was just mentioning not filling out the census is a possible reason as well for Blacks.

Far as crime goes, unfortunately, a lot of people still feel like only Blacks (especially the men) commit crime the most. No matter what crime White people commit.

Many movies are filmed in LA.... LA has around a 10% Black population.... in some places like East LA, you can go hours without seeing a black person.

Most large "black" cities are not places where movies are made...whens the last time you saw a movie made in Gary Indiana, that wasn't about the Jacksons?

I had a project i did for a sociology class... on how people perceive "accurate" representations of themselves.

Two simple questions was asked.


" In a movie, with 100 actors/actresses...all with equal importance and screen time....you notice there are only 13 blacks. What do you think about this?"

" How many black actors in this movie would be an accurate representation of the total population of blacks as a whole ?"

answer my questions brehs.

We just want our presence known and to be shown in a way that is opposite of demonic stereotypes so we can be more accepted by people who hate us. There is a thought among our people that the reason people hate us is because of stereotypes that depict us in a negative light so we pray to the media to show us in a positive light so we recieve more love from the human race. The proper percentage representation does not matter because thats not the real reason but i agree precentage wise and realistically, you wont find many of us in many of the films that appear today outside of extras. We would not be In the mix of many of these problems that are not our own.
