Black folks, y'all do realize that we only comprise 13% of the US population...right?

We're probably more than that. I never trusted the official numbers. Still don't understand how we have been between 10-15% for the last 200 years.

Hate to disassociate so called hispanics and blacks from each other but the numbers will also show that both populations are increasing while the so called white population is decreasing. That's why I love the book Death of the West by Pat Buchanan. It clearly makes you aware of their fear of becoming obsolete.

The thread rational hints and provides a reason for smart-dumb-cowards nikkas to be complacent about under representation in various industries

bu bu you just a small percentage of the population, there's nothing wrong being a token in the movies and social gatherings. You really winning when you're the only black in your office, that shows that you are not a typical black:obama:

OP is clearly afraid to be labeled "reverse racist" or exemplifying "typical black person behavior" if you factor his opinions from this thread and others:pachaha:

I am not pigeonhold to the local, always global, kinfolk should be global, because if you stick to national/local rules/America...it stops at "slavery" and "slave" history...no, really where did yall come from?

its still c00nish - because unless its a diverse course, you marginalize yourself and your opinion and your success -, as for what is a good % of race in the workforce, its is an interesting segue and question that corporations actually deal with.

Movies is arbitration, because they selectively cast movies without certain races by choice. Lets move it a step further to underrepresented group on TV, where are they, the non-white on TV, where are they. America is culturally diverse, right?

Bruh, you speaking with too much perspective and clear rational. OP seems to be a lazy rational thinker who views white supremacy and race issues via a clansman burning crosses. In his world, the suggestion of whites skewing info just for the sake of confusion is typical of reverse racist behavior

A small white population doesn't mean that "things change." If South Africa has the avg minority group member that makes 5x more than a majority group member, then that means the future of America's wealth, thus power, will more likely stay the same unless conscious efforts are made to even out the wealth distribution

fixed.

Yes.

Too deep ||

Besides myself, no one answered initial three questions. Might wanna reconsider the project goal. Good Luck.

The project is already done...and has been for like 3 years :aicmon:

The fact i shared it with the coli means nothing. Do you think i'm stupid enough to rely on an internet forum where people pretend to be black for a grade?

again, there were only 2 questions asked...and you did not answer them.

The thesis of the project was pretty much " how do perceived statistical representations influence how specific demographics view actual statistical representations ?"

I asked two specific questions, which a considerable amount of people in this thread disregarded and decided because i put a small percentage regarding blacks= self hatred/c00nery/

there was one fukking objective, and y'all was too caught up in black militant mode to see that.

so you're asking out of about 40 million black people, how many are an accurate representation

but what is an accurate representation?

The only major cities where blacks aren't a significant part of the population is in Cali (L.A. and San Fran) other than that:

NYC
MIA
Houston
Dallas
Chicago

This is what fools people I think. Blacks could be like 35% in NYC, but forget you got huge stretches of upstate NY or central NJ where there are no blacks for miles. With that being said, it's crazy how much black culture influences the USA, even now, seeing as that we are such a small part of it overall.

How did i punk myself?

hair colors aren't exclusive to any specific race..

Those 2 questions, were not posed only posed to just black people.. i asked whites,blacks,latinos,asians... of differing ages, ethnicities, backgrounds etc.

the point of the project was to figure out how much variance there was between different races/ethnicities/ages in terms of how they perceived what was an accurate representation..versus the what statistical evidence has shown is accurate.

Even in places like Houston, Chicago, Dallas, etc, most of the black population is in the city. Some of these suburbs have much higher percentage of south and east asians than blacks, and some are 90+% white. On top of that, suburbs make up a huge percentage of the population in the US. I've done many projects on population, and people always question the methodology. That's why we break down areas into even smaller pieces. I think people would be surprised how many sections of Dallas have 0 black people living in them. Even in parts of town people traditionally think of as black.

As far as representation in the media, I could speak on that for pages and pages, but I will just say 2 things. The mainstream media is in huge denial as far as the makeup of the population in the US. Because of that, I'm more than happy that different groups are taking care of their own in such regards. Will add that they think we should be happy with our small representation in the type of role they like us in. I'm glad that we can show more than with our own media.

:jawalrus:

you still labeling folks who refuse to view the world in a vacuum and without perspective

Any statistical representations that are void of proper context will influence the perception of those who are not the subject, and those who are. Especially when the motives of the collector of the stats are not clear

You have shared your opinion before and made it clear that you are avoiding certain labels from non-blacks, so don't make it seem like folks are random with their questions about the motives of this thread

here is the thing... people like you like to argue non existent things.

people were given the accurate statistic as far as to how many blacks make up the US population...then were asked what they felt was an accurate representation.

you decided to change the question asked, add your own parameters to it...and then argue things that were never asked.
