I'm thinking about joining grad chapter as I'd love to expand my network. Got friends that are Kappas, Omegas, and Alphas.

A few Omegas in my family. I didnt join in college because I bombed my second semester and had to work back up.

but 29 now and really wanting to know the key differences between them from your perspective outside of my friends/fam. From mission to the members

Tbh past undergrad that frat shyt ain't really expanding your network. I mean technically it is but there's probably better and easier ways to do it. Grad chapter also gets side-eyed by some of the members cause you ain't getting the real pledge experience. But every chapter is different.

Totally agree there. Just looking into it. My unc joined grad and he loved it, said iy really helped him find strong mentors and get more plugged in.

i had the college experience already

The 'network' is non-existent. They won't help you get a job after you graduate.
Im 29. I'm set, not looking for a job. Just new organizations to commit to and get involved in.

Like I said, I got friends, I got a social life, I had fun in college too. But I'd like to be surrounded by more older black men and give back more to local communities :yeshrug:

Especially as I advance in life into my 30s, and I've moved around a few times. Havin somewhere to plug in always is important

I’m a Que. Came in through a grad chapter. I can’t speak for other frats but there’s not really a stigma or separation for people that come in through grad as opposed to undergrad. I mean yeah, someone might have something to say every now and then but by and large if you know what you know and carry yourself accordingly, Bruhz recognize Bruhz and it’s all good.

What would you say is the difference between the omegas, alphas, and kappas from your point of view. Not really based on stereotype, but from a mission standpoint and the way they work.

I say the networks are worth more as a grad chapter pledge, honestly. A lot more.
