I know Bestbuy is doing 39 inch (38.5) Isignia's for 169$. It's a great buy for the price.

Working in a couple of big box retailers over the years beware of the extremely discounted sets even from major manufactures

They tend to older models/components repackaged as a new set. You will know because it will have a new model number that recently popped up.

Not if you're going to hook a PS3/Xbox/Roku/whateverthefukk up to it.

But my Panasonic is "Smart" and even though my PS3 is connected, I still use the set for Hulu A little more convenient/quick I guess

FALSE. Typically smart TV's are superior spec wise as well. TYPICALLY. Also usually aesthetically smart tvs are better too
