I've been everywhere and I've honestly NEVER seen women of other races jump in their men's faces like that. The most you'd get would be snappy comments, but actually STEPPING in the dudes face saying "hit me" repeatedly? I've never seen it anywhere else. I'm not even saying all or even most black girls do that, but what I am saying is I've never seen any other group of women do that. Remember the McDonald's incident? Yeah she got fukked up. Remember the black girl who tried to get in the police officers face in Oakland and got knocked the fukk out?

This is what happens when you live in a pseudo-matriarchy. You think you can have the power of men, all the while maintaining the privileges that patriarchal women have. Not only that but black women are the only group of women who declare how independent they are from their men. When you don't depend on someone to survive, chances are you will lose respect for him. When you do respect someone, it's usually out of fear. These women truly think they don't need men, so they have no fear because they have no respect.

And that's not even bashing. These are cultural behaviors I'm just pointing out. I don't see AFRICAN women behaving that way either so it's definitely a cultural behavior rather than a racial one.

I can't co-sign that part.

To me, respecting someone shouldn't be because you're scared of that person but, because you appreciate (and love) that person for who they are and how they carry themselves and treat others.

It should go both ways for both genders.

Getting respect out of someone by the way of fear is some dictator mess.

Far as African women go, a lot of them still live in cultures that view being a woman period means being deserving of abuse and rape. Cultures that live off of "respect out of fear" rhetoric.

The no father issue is a big issue for both boys and girls in the community.

That's why some of our young youth don't understand having respect for one another.

They don't see the parents do it and well, what you put in you is what you become.

I think the problem here is that people just want to focus on one side: "Oh, it's the girls this and the girls that" OR "Oh, it's the boys this and the boys that" not realizing it's both that need to be helped and fixed, so to speak.
