Also if you ever go to NSBE you can see how google, apple and DoD get down.

DoD companies will be literally hiring entry level black engineers on the spot. I have seen whole groups of young black folks hired.

Then you look at the google and apple booths and they taking resumes telling them kids "we will keep in touch....thanks".

But I agree. About 2/3 of the black people in these companies be so corny, they truly do try to hire black folks who make them comfortable, this also includes hiring gay black men. 3 of the 6.5 black men at my company are gay, and the black dude we just interviewed was a flaming fruitcake. But at least there are some black dudes, there in only one other black chick and she’s the office manager in NY...,smh

People are playing dumb. Every black person with any sense of black culture knows how we're in the office and think all these people are corny and they think we're quiet or anti-social because we don't fukk with them.

Bruh, the question is do you start ostracizing people because they didn't get a chance to connect? Or do you try to bring them into the fold? This is valid - I'm in a spot now where I can't even hang w/ coworkers on the weekend because I don't skii, play golf, like tennis, or hike...that shyt costs a bunch of money and to be honest I'm not interested in spending like I have parents who passed down whole houses, paid for all of my school, etc., like they are. shyt's frustrating but at the same time, if need be, I'll participate if I ever feel like it's seriously hurting my career.
