I posted this on Facebook on this black personality type message board I am on. I get that gender has emerged out of social conditioning based on one's utility, not necessarily their sex...

I've come to accept gender fluidity as potential changes in mood. I used to read The Peanuts as a kid, and Peppermint Patty would at the very least be a dyke in this day and age, but she probably would more likely be transgender. My thing is, if it's FLUID, like moods... we're not always going to understand what mood you're in, NOR should external people have to accept these constant changes because they're ALWAYS CONSTANTLY CHANGING. It's a personal problem challenge, not a societal one. We assign gender out of utility, not necessarily sex.

If a biological male presents as female and wants to be identified as she/her, I'll do it. But if on Friday you were dressed like Jonathan and Monday rolls around and you're dressed like Jane, there better be some accountability on Jane's part that that is confusing as shyt, and I'm going to default as what I've known you as until you show some consistency. The fact that you can be sometimes ostracized for not going along with this is flat out fukking absurd.

In a more perfect society we would address each other by names and familiarity and not gender. Gender is a shortcut.
