Foreigners = 195 countries. all of which are not all terrible places. pls. stoppit.
Plus we are talking about China.
Most graduate and go right back home, in fact they have the highest return rate, because a western educated chinese man has A LOT of opportunity back home. Their country is now the second largest economy and has the biggest surplus annually. They see their country being a superpower in the near feature, and they're going back home to help out. It's not like us africans that come to the U.S and never go back to help our homeland. Currently the U.S is lacking employment wise. Why is Obama having a hard time? people complaining about employment and the economy. This isn't 1999, we've been on the decline for some time. Of course if you come from some war torn country the U.S is still an Disneyland, but if you think Japanese, Koreans and Chinese are flocking over here outside of getting an education...you are sadly mistaken. Get off that high horse cause it aint what it used to be, immigration from those countries are at an all time low.
Why don't you nikkas try traveling? A westerner abroad is not the same as a local anyways, so I dont even get this whole "but they're flocking to america". If you have a degree from America you should be able to live comfortable in just about any country. so that struggle life doesn't even apply to you to begin with.
Like I said, traveling aint for everyone, and not everybody can leave their comfort zone and live abroad. It takes a special kind of person to be able to leave a spoiled american life and their family and friends back home. I can't emphasize that enough. I'm not here to encourage or discourage anyone. I am here to answer peoples questions they have about where I live or how it is being an expat and to help with those that may be considering taking the leap, just because YOU can't do it, doesn't mean you have to discourage others too.

Foreigners coming here to study have a hard time getting a permanent visa to stay in this country after they graduate. That's one of the biggest fights right now in Congress to allow STEM graduates to be able to stay here and work. A lot of those graduates prefer to stay here but can't.
I did live abroad due to my folks jobs when I was younger. I know the lifestyle abroad and for all the complaints people may have about living in the U.S., we've got it easy. Everyone has an opportunity to be as wealthy as they are willing to work in this country. You can't say that about a lot of other countries.
I'm not here to discourage people. But you romanticizing the idea of living abroad is misleading. It's hard work.

Name a country. And if you're talking about China, I've already told you why they go back. Take it as you want too, but its widely reported in asia. Living abroad is hardwork? maybe to you, its not for me, in fact it's quite effortless and I only work 3-4 days a week. as for romanticizing it....

instead of going on a rant, how about you get intellectual and ASK ME why I feel more free abroad. and then we can get into an intellectual discussion about it.

If yes, does the music/movie industry make more money than their American counterpart? I'd imagine: very large population + piracy sites blocked = high album sales. I'm sure bootlegging still happens but still.

I'm back over here. Arrived 4 weeks ago. I was in Tokyo for a day (layover) and Shanghai for a night (missed my flight). That was a rough travel.
depends what kind of business you're trying to start, but if the idea is fresh and new. I would say it's about as easy as america except you wont be getting the loans here. *shrugs*
Torrent sites are blocked but we (westerners) all use vpns to get around shyt. there is one that is pretty popular and less restricted, it's filipino. piracy still happens but now, just like in the states, everything is digital. streams and what not. its not like when I was here in 09' bootleg dvds were a big thing. Now everyone just streams shyt. I know a few sites, but you wouldn't be able to read them, since they're in chinese, but obv when I have chinese females over we watch tv that way. It's in english but have chinese subtitles for them. My ex's opened my eyes to the chinese side of the internet. Trust me, they have everything we have, it's just you wouldnt know since they're chinese. they even have a chinese facebook with just as many users as facebook
