Funny how they never teach this in schools. All they teach is "slavery was bad" without going into detail.

In American history, blacks virtually disappear from 1864 and for the next 100 years. Everything that happens between the end of the Civil War to the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to black people is not taught in schools. That is why there is a huge disconnect with everybody that is ignorant. They literally think that MLK (who many people think is the only civil rights leader/martyr) died so we can simply just eat at the same restaurants and drink from the same fountain

This is what I've been saying about cruelty & hatred against black people being ingrained in American culture/society to the point where disrespect against black people is not just tolerated but accepted and rewarded.

one of the ways we STOP this is to not take it anymore. if you see disrespect towards you, confront the person doing it. just the other day, some white woman saw me and crossed the street on me, so i crossed the street and went where she was. i do that every single time a white woman thinks she can cross the street on me. she's not going to disrespect me like that.

This is very true. Avg American (black or white) could tell you very little about Black Americans during those years you mentioned.

We are lucky to be born into this generation brehs. Imagine living your one life as a tortured slaves during the 1800s. We are blessed.

I think about this shyt a lot and it just makes me because we're so lucky but at the same time someone else had to go through that so we wouldn't. Watching movies, reading books and looking at pictures really don't do the horrors of slavery any justice....I can't even begin to imagine the things they had to go through that hasn't been mentioned before..
