I would think it would be based around Tattooing, hence the name.
But just like every other VH1 show, it's mostly about drama, and a little about the business.

Don't get me wrong, when it does deal with the Tattooing aspect of the show, it's decent, but that bytch Alex is a straight up c*nt and ruins the show, and she stay dis-respecting Ceaser

Its corny...even the "beefs" dont look convincing....they showed a preview where a nicca bring his mut kid in and the owner like "you late...thats not professional"

it's sad, shyt coulda been something good to watch on tv.

some other "reputable" network needs to steal this idea of having an all black tattoo shop show and run with it. fukk VH1.

all the tattoo shows they got out now is strictly cacs.

Dutchess has gorgeous legs. On the VH1 clip introducing "the women of Black Ink Crew," she slowly draws up the hem of her dress to reveal that looooooong gun tatted on her thigh. Breathtaking! Pretty face & hair, too.

Dimpled Alex reminds me of Cameron Diaz only the bottle blond hair is curled. It is generally awkward when tan hair color is matched with tan skin (too much orange!!!), but Dutchess makes it work.
