Black is a race, AA is a nationality.
While I agree with this how relevant is "black" in Nigerian when everyone is black? It defaults to tribes and religion even. There is an emphasis on black and white in America and in North America because we are very recent societies. Even in England English is synonymous with white. Everyone else is black British etc.

Ive met a couple of people who look down on AAs so they deny being black because they dont want to be associated with us.

When it comes to white people and such all they see is black people/nikkas they dont care what tribe or area your from.
I was reading an article in one of those Ivy League papers and they made a mention that there was a preference for black students from the continent as opposed to blacks from the states. You can see this prefeence in Hollywood as well as many black Americans are shunned in favor of black Africans. Black Africans dont give white folks liberal guilt

Perhaps. We don't share the history and it's something AAs can't enforce black Africans to identify with. But Marcus Garvey was JA and Farakhan us WI so there is some precedent
