This shyt aint too much better than Season 4 of Boondocks. I hate how yall act like McGruder is some great sage trying to make black people look inside themselves and trying to teach a lesson on some Keenan shyt

This was funny I have to admit but watching it a second time there isnt a message he trying to perceive with this. Its just straight up ignorance in Compton with us giving off the most offensive stereotypes (even though they are funny the first run through). Seems like its more for shock than anything just to get people talking. I guess it worked.

Are they trying to say those comments were the reason the show was made or picked up ?

That was a rough pilot episode but the premise is interesting. I'll give it a few more episodes to see if it finds it's footing.

As a Christian I don't mind the use of Jesus for comedic purposes. But man, why does BLACK Jesus have to be a shifty negro with a couple of magical powers? Scratch that. He does seem like a voice of reason but he is kind of OTT with the language. He comes off as ignorant as the bums he hangs around. Maybe that's the point. I don't know. I think they should tone him down just a tad. But this was a pilot so we'll see where it goes. The interactions between Jesus and the non-believers will be interesting though. Hopefully more religious "messages" will be dropped as there is a potential gold mine there but we'll see. I don't want a season 4 Boondocks starring Jesus.

And who did dude play on the Boondocks? His voice is real familiar.

TYRONE GA!
LMAO! Yeh Ok! That's really what most people will watch and come away from the show with. Gimme a break. What I do find hilarious is people are so outraged because of the portrayal of Jesus, and nobody is commenting on the stereotypes being promoted by the show. Lazy Shiftless black men, horrible mothers who is buying weed to sell. Im sure there will be tons of obnoxious roles for black women on the show too.

And y'all can pour syrup on sh!t and call it pancakes all you want with this whole it's satire argument.

I kinda agree with this..... :patrice:

But half of the garbage ass rap this out there is just as bad and no one bats an eye. :manny:

Comedy ain't supposed to be politically correct and simply portraying stereotypes doesn't mean it's promoting them. I haven't watched the show, but if it's made by the same dude who did boondocks I'm sure there is a lot of satire in the comedy, as there was in the boondocks. I did see a girl on my facebook post this though
