I actually liked the last 2 episodes.
I selfishly want this show to continue.
I think a big problem this season has been Rusty Cundieff. Outside of Tales From The Hood and Fear of a Black Hat, I never thought that he was that good of a director.
Replace him, bring the OG cast back (don't try to replace Vic or Lloyd), fire the corny new security guy, and go back to basics.
If they can afford them, somebody like Luenell or Karlous Miller could be good cast additions. I don't know who they would play, but they could be funny with Slink Johnson and Corey Holcomb.
Also, I need to see more of shorty who is a superfan of Jesus. She got some tig ol' bitties!

The last episode to be honest was the best of the season. Kind of had that vintage season 1 and 2 feel.

It wasn't perfect, but I liked that one. I also liked the probation officer episode and the last one.
There wasn't a ton of comedy in the last two episodes, but there were some good inspirational messages that were snuck in there. I appreciated that.
You're probably right. John Witherspoon's passing was probably the final straw.
